It has already been an incredibly productive year for our AVL Writers gang. We’ve celebrated so many publications from our regular members that saving them all for a single yearly announcement would be too much to keep track of. So here is a midyear 2026 update of all the accomplishments, acceptances, and publications from our AVL Writers gang.

As always, we meet in approximately the same place (West Asheville), at the same time (6 PM), on the same day (Wednesday). We’re consistent because writing is a consistent, day-to-day effort, and the list below is proof of what that steady work can achieve. AVL Writers is a community resource for anyone who wants to succeed in writing and have their words echo out into the world beyond our charming southern town. So congratulations to all of our writers.

Keep writing, keep finishing what you write, and keep sending what you write out into the world.
